Choosing the right leads providers
It's quite easy to find hundreds of different lead providers, who offer leads for different idustries. From leads for the rela estate maket to leads for mortgages and insurance companies to leads for the work at home business community to highly specialized leads for the sale of investment goods, there are suppliers.
When you start looking for leads, the most difficult part is to make sure you get your money's worth. The word 'Leads' alone does not qualify what you are getting. You need to understand how the leads are generated, how these leads were choosen, how old they are, to how many people they are given.
Picture this: You buy 100 leads for your MLM business and you get a name, an email address and a phone number. You have spent your money allready to poruchase leads, but now you invest your precious time to contact these leads. Maybe you call and spend even more money on the phone bill. - If these leads are fresh, have answered on a targeted website for home business seekers and have only be given to three people, you will be able to talk to a few of them and quite likely will sign up a few new business partners.
On the other hand, if these addresses come from a website that has offered to participate in come sort of free competition in exchange for a name, an email address and a phone number, if on top of that these were old leads, say, over 100 days old, and have been recycled allready twice over, and over 20 or more people have sent out infos and maybe even called, these leads are worth a lot less, and might actually waste your time if you don't work with them according to these circumstances. (Yes, even with such leads you can succeed, just with a different approach).
For mortgage leads or insurance leads exactly the same applies, there are many different qualities in leads.

The best way to choose and select leads
Test the leads! Testing the leads is the onyl way you will know that this particular leads provider has the quality of leads that are perfectly targeted to your business. We would love to be able to tell you that there is a golden bullet and that we have the recipe for 100% success with leads. But leads are as much different as the the offer that you have for your protential customers. And to find a good, or even perfect match you need to test.
Lead providers will tell you some things about their leads, sometimes quite a lot. The more information you can get about the lead generation process, the better. But qou will never be able to verify, and actual URL's where these leads are generated from are guarded as trade secrts. So even if you know what you are supposed to get, you will need to test. Allways purchase a smaller number of leads first, 100 should be enough for mass leads, 10 for very expensive pre-interviewed fresh exclusive leads.
Only when you are satisfied with this first test, increase the order to maybe double and test again. Sometimes, new customers get better leads first only to be served with a different quality once the second order comes in. Fortunately this is not the rule, but we say 'better safe tha sorry'.
When you have found a good leads supplier, stick with them and work these leads. But at the same time continue testing other services. Go slow first and only if you have better results than with the first supplier, switch over and continue testing the next service.
